WILL YOU HAVE THE THEME I WANT?
We offer a wide range of colour options that can be mixed and matched so we can offer you the ingredients you need as a backdrop to create your chosen party theme. Hire plates and cups and a themed tablecloth from us, then complete your party table with your own napkins, cake and decorations. See our gallery for inspiration!

HOW DO I PLACE AN ORDER?

IS THERE A MINIMUM ORDER SIZE?
Our smallest hire box is for 10, the medium is 15, large is 20 and extra large is 30. Because we know that parties and school friends don’t always fit easily into boxes, we offer the flexibility to add in up to four additional items per order at 50p per extra item and according to availability, without needing to order the next size box. So if you have 12 children coming to a party, order our hirebox with 10 plates and cups, then add two more plates and two more cups at an add-on cost of £2.00.

WHAT WILL IT COST ME?
The cost of hiring our cups and plates are as follows:
10 cups and plates = £17
15 cups and plates = £24
20 cups and plates = £30
30 cups and plates = £38

As above, we also offer the flexibility to add in up to four additional items per order at 50p per extra item and according to availability, without needing to order the next size box.

I'M PLANNING A PARTY WITH MORE THAN 30 CHILDREN; CAN I HIRE WHAT I NEED FROM YOU?
First of all, are you sure you want to do that?! Secondly, contact us to see if we can meet your requirements.

WILL IT COST ME MORE THAN DISPOSABLES?
We looked at prices for packs of party paper plates and cups in three supermarkets: prices range from £1.50 for a pack of 10 basic flimsy plates up to £5.00 for 12 unicorn plates. So if you have a whole class party, you could be looking at up to £15 just for single use plates plus cups, paper tablecloths etc.

Not to mention the cost to the environment and to our children’s futures.

HOW DO I PAY?
Payment is via bank transfer only, details provided on our confirmation of an accepted booking.

IS THERE A DEPOSIT?
We take a deposit of £20 per order, of any size, returnable upon delivery back to us or collection by us (arranged at time of booking) of items after hire.​​
DO YOU DELIVER?
Delivery to you is included in the hire price, within St Albans, Harpenden and Watford. We will usually deliver the day before your party, or on the morning if the party is in the afternoon. All we need is an address and someone in to accept the box. We can only deliver to residential addresses.

HOW LONG CAN I KEEP THE ITEMS FOR?
For up to 48 hours after your party, or, if arranged at time of booking, we can accommodate an extended hire fee of £10 per box per day. Please note that there is a £20 fee for a late return.

DO I NEED TO WASH THEM?
No, we do that for you! We just ask that you scrape off any food waste and stack everything back in the box with the tablecloth(s).
IS IT HYGIENIC?
Our hire boxes of plates and cups are delivered closed with one of our special Planet’s Friend Party Hire Ltd seals so you know it’s all clean.

HOW DO I GET THEM BACK TO YOU?
We ask for our boxes to be delivered back to us in St Albans or Watford (we supply the address when you have ordered) or, for an additional fee of £5 per order, we will arrange to come and collect from you.

​WHAT HAPPENS IF I BREAK OR LOSE SOMETHING?
Our items are high-quality and durable and should not break; if an item is lost or broken, regrettably we will need to charge for the cost of replacement at £5 per missing or broken item.​​​
